Please take a moment to read the following letter from
Jen McAtamney about the Town of Breckenridge: Tuition Assistance Program and changes to the application process. Jen will be onsite at Timberline June 15th from 4:30-5:30 to answer questions.
We wanted to share some exciting news regarding the evolution of the Town’s Childcare Program. While the Rec Department enjoyed administering the program, as we look towards the future, we feel the program really fits better back with Community Development. To that end, we have been working with Emily Oberheide & Laurie Best in Community Development to transition the program back to their administration. With Laurie’s long tenure with the program, it is a seamless transfer.
In addition to this change in we will also realize our goal of moving the Tuition Assistance applications to an online application and processing system. Emily has been working hard on the implementation and we launched the Tuition Assistance Application in an online format called Fluid Review on June 1st. This means that a link to the application can be found on the town’s Tuition Assistance Page at: http://www.townofbreckenridge.com/index.aspx?page=1648. From there you will be able to complete and upload all necessary documents in a secure format from the convenience of your home. Enrollment is now open and as in the past the open enrollment period is June 1st to July 1st for the September 2016 – August 2017 school year. Please be sure to get your application completed before the July 1st deadline. To help you along we have attached the program information packet as well as a User’s Guide if you want extra instruction as you move through the application process.
Perhaps the most exciting news is that we hired Jennifer McAtamney as the new Program Administrator! As you all know, Jen has been involved with the program since its inception and we are thrilled to have her join us in this role. Jennifer and Emily will be working on transitioning the program over the next two months. From there the program will continue in her very capable hands as we continue to improve not only our tuition assistance program but also look for other efficiencies and best practices for this important community program.
If you have any questions or just want to welcome her aboard Jennifer is working at Town Hall and will be available full time to devote her time and energy to the program. To reach her you can stop by Town Hall, email her at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her to 970-547-3124.
Thank you for being an important part of our wonderful community.
